Who Works?

I know that some of us have to have some sort of stay at home job, secret shopper, candle sales, what do you do? I've been working on some children's books and some designs for maternity wear, and I'm not sure where to go with that. I'm a very novice sewer and I really need to try and market the designs as soon as posible. So I'm thinking I need to hire a good dressmaker to make my prototypes and look into finding a factory or some dressmakers who can help me produce my designs so I can start selling soon.

Are you part of an established company? Are you entrely on your own, taking a hobby into profit or babysitting? Do you do it for the money or the sanity? I loved working, but I think I'd rather continue staying home with the kids. I think I'm going to see if I can get back into doing product demonstrations (aka sample lady) once we get moved back to Alabama. I *THINK* I can take the kids with me and they'll be okay for a few hours like that. Plus, it's a good job to give a try if you're pregnant. Most places don't seem to have a problem with you carrying a stool or small chair with you to your demos. I can give a little info out on shadow shopping or demoing if anyone's interested too.
